Mission Statement
Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society brings together world-class performing artists to create cutting-edge musical events that present chamber music as serious fun to traditional and new audiences in Madison and south-central Wisconsin.
About This Cause
Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society (BDDS) presents its annual summer chamber music festival, in Madison, Wisconsin, and has been for over thirty years! This festival features nine different concerts over three weekends. We've always been faithful to the highest standards of performance, bringing audiences riveting performances with luminous sound. BDDS is proud to be one of Madison’s long-playing musical institutions and a pillar of the North American chamber music circuit. We present riches of the chamber music repertoire, masterpieces of Brahms, Fauré, and Copland; great chamber music that has long been undervalued by women composers like Dolores White, Jennifer Higdon; BIPOC composers Carlos Simon, Gabriela Lena; and everything in between. Concerts are spiked with stories about the music, mystery guests, and door prizes. Artistic co-directors Stephanie Jutt, flute, and Jeffrey Sykes, piano, are joined by nearly two-dozen musicians from the US and Canada.
