Mission Statement
Our mission at Family Resource Center St. Croix Valley is to strengthen children, families & communities by offering education, resources & support, serving families prenatal-kindergarten entry In Pierce, Polk and St. Croix Counties.
About This Cause
Programs at FRCSCV are provided at no-cost and available to all families in the tri-county area. We are funded by private grants, contracts, and donations. FRCSCV provides individual home visits and group connection programs. Family Resource Center's programs apply the Parents as Teachers model, a nationally-recognized evidence based curriculum. Parent Educators, all of whom have 4-year degrees in a related field lead all programs. Parent educators undergo training to become certified in the Parents as Teachers curriculum and maintain their certifications with continuing education. We offer a variety of in-person and virtual programming including: Welcome Baby | Visit by a Parent Educator after the birth of a baby in partnering hospital. Baby & Me | Play and Discussion hour for babies and parents. Play & Learn | Group sessions for parents and their toddlers. Triple P | Discussions, Workshops & Seminars for parents. Parent Café | Concrete parenting support for families in a group setting. Young Parent | Group connection for parents 21 or younger. Special Events | Learn about things such as farms, apples, bees & so much more! Home Visits | Individualized parent support and education in the home.
