Mission Statement
The mission of the Eau Claire Humane Association is to be a voice for all animals by providing education, resources, and support for the community, compassionate care for homeless animals until they can be placed in forever homes and coordination with other organizations to promote animal welfare.
About This Cause
Welcome to the Eau Claire County Humane Association! We are pleased that you have decided to adopt, foster, volunteer, sponsor, or donate. The decision to bring a pet into your home can mean major changes in lifestyle. It should be a well thought out decision. Our staff and volunteers are here to help answer questions, find the right pet for your home, and provide resources for our community. By adopting a pet from the ECCHA, you can feel good knowing that you have given a homeless animal a second chance. Not everyone is able to adopt a pet but still want to help. Consider being a volunteer or fostering a pet. Volunteers provide much needed help in all different areas that is crucial to the ECCHA's success. We would not be able to do what we do for all the animals in need without volunteers. Getting started is easy; just visit our website to fill out a volunteer application and attend a volunteer orientation. Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch within a week after reviewing your application regarding orientation dates and other important information to get started. Foster families would go through the same volunteer process before meeting with our foster coordinator. Foster homes provide a sanctuary for those animals that just do not do well in the shelter, are ill, or are too young yet for adoption. If you just do not have the time to volunteer or foster, please consider being a sponsor. Sponsors contribute funds for medical procedures, funds for cages, and funds to reduce adoption fees. By sponsoring a pet, you help that animal find a forever home faster. Donations of all types are accepted. We have a complete wish list on our website from gently used items, to monetary, to our most needed. We hope you will consider helping those in need in some way. Join us by being a voice for those who cannot speak.
