Mission Statement
EVOLVE is dedicated to uniting children with loving families. We do this by providing programs and services for domestic adoption,pregnancy support, child-focused recruitment and foster care to families in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.Since 1976, Crossroads Adoption Services & HOPE Adoption & Family Services, the two agencies that formed EVOLVE, have helped thousands of children unite with loving families through a variety of programs. EVOLVE has also continued the work of the African American Adoption & Permanency Planning Agency formed out of the disproportionate number of African American children in foster care waiting for a family. Our three offices are located in Stillwater, Edina and St. Paul.
About This Cause
Domestic Infant - Individuals and families considering an infant adoption can do so through our Domestic Infant program. Through the years, the two agencies that came together to form EVOLVE have helped hundreds of Minnesota and Wisconsin individuals and families adopt newborns from all over the country. Youth Services - There are hundreds of youth currently under Minnesota State guardianship in immediate need of an adoptive family. At EVOLVE, we partner with Wendy’s Wonderful Kids (WWK) to find families for these children. We also provide life skills training, assistance with college applications and resume writing, rental help, and more so that the youth getting close to aging out of the system will be self-sufficient and have a safe place to live. Traditional Foster Care - In Traditional Foster Care, the foster parents will serve as the support system for any children in their care. They will ensure that the children remain connected to their community, peers, and birth families. The foster care providers will protect the child’s security, development, health, and identity until that child can either be reunified with their birth family, or placed into a family through adoption. Concurrent Foster Care - With Concurrent Foster Care, the foster parents will be the source for everything under Traditional Care, while simultaneously being prepared to adopt the children in their care if reunification with the birth parents is not possible. This essential Foster Care program helps decrease the amount of transitions a child goes through while increasing their opportunity of having a permanent family. Pregnancy Services - An unplanned pregnancy can be a terrifying thing. You might be wrestling with many questions, like: what are your options, who can help you, and where do you start? At EVOLVE, we understand the pressures you’re facing and we’re here to offer support. Most importantly, we want you to know that you’re not in this alone. We’ll be there every step of the way. Our professional Pregnancy Counselors are here to answer your questions and guide you through your options with no pressure to choose adoption. We want you to feel confident that you’ve made the best decision for you and your family. The EVOLVE Pregnancy Services are free of charge, so you can make the decisions you need to without the stress of what it’s going to cost you. Not only that, but our staff approach each situation without bias and under complete confidentiality. If you live in Minnesota or western Wisconsin, an EVOLVE pregnancy counselor can meet with you at our office, your home or another location of your choice. EVOLVE serves teens, women, men, couples and families in the Minnesota and western Wisconsin area who are exploring their options. We can also discuss options for those already with an infant or small child. We want to help you develop the plan that you feel is best for you and your child. EVOLVE has no religious or political affiliations and is prepared to help anyone without restriction. At EVOLVE, we want to ensure that every individual and family we work with feels equipped for their adoption and foster care journey.
