Mission Statement
The Midwest Art Conservation Center is a non-profit organization for the preservation and conservation of art and artifacts, providing treatment, education, and training for museums, historical societies, libraries, other cultural institutions, artists, and the public.
About This Cause
We are a resource for non-profit institutions, artists, corporations and individuals. For over 40 years, our highly-trained staff has provided museum-quality conservation treatments and collections care for art and cultural artifacts throughout the Midwest region and beyond. Conveniently located in the Minneapolis Institute of Art, all conservation treatment projects begin with an in-person examination by one of our conservators. The Preventive Conservation Department provides a range of services for non-profit institutions to improve and enhance collections care in ways designed to positively impact the largest number of artifacts.
