About This Cause
The Ronald McDonald House is a pediatric hospitality house serving families who are traveling to Rochester, Minnesota for the critical medical care their child needs. It not only provides a place to stay but a welcoming and supportive environment where the family can create positive memories during difficult days. The House helps relieve financial burdens and ensures basic needs are met while providing family centered programming that supports the emotional health of families of children 0 to 18 with a variety of medical issues. In addition to providing a place to rest, the House has programming to support basic needs and fuel the spirits of our guests during some of the most trying days of their lives. This includes meals, pet therapy visits, field trips and music therapy. The Ronald McDonald House philosophy is that families can cope and support each other better when they are all together. Relieving daily stressors allows parents to focus on what matters most – the health of their child.
