Mission Statement
Our mission is to encourage, enhance and financially support the Apple Valley High School band program through actions and participation.
About This Cause
Band Boosters supports and enhances the AVHS Band Program by: Facilitating general fundraising to provide opportunities for: 1) enhanced education through guest clinicians, master classes, small ensemble coaches, guest artists, and visiting bands, 2) student recognition through year-end awards ceremony, MMEA/All-State scholarships, senior scholarships, 3) fee reduction for band trips, marching band uniform and tux dry cleaning, solo/ensemble contest registration, 4) connect with district middle and elementary schools to promote band participation, 5) social events like marching band ice cream social, Dine-Out for Band nights, and Burgers & Brats football game event, 6) safety support through musicians earplug clinic, 7) band spirit wear and organizational identity, 8) family communication through e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, Shutterfly, Band Booster webstie, Band Booster meetings Facilitating student fundraising to provide opportunities for students to earn their way toward lower individual band trip costs. Doing the nitty-gritty fun stuff - hanging uniforms and sticking plumes for marching band performances, sewing buttons and pinning pants, serving ice cream, baking treats for bake sales, decorating, loading and unloading, and watching friendships form.
