About This Cause
Marysville Township United Fund sponsors a yearly mail campaign to promote the collection of funds which are then distributed to local Wright County, Minnesota non-profit organizations. These organizations focus on a wide range of activities from helping people with disabilities and families in a crisis situation to a fishing clinic for students and a Student Care Committee in a local high school to a group that makes toys for children. Marysville United Fund was founded in 1967 with the goal of the first Fund Drive being to give help and hope to neighbors in need - that goal has not changed since then. However, over the years as the population has gotten busier, the campaign has changed to a mail campaign from a door-to-door visit. This change decreased the over-all giving in an annual campaign and where once a wider spread of charities were allocated funds, the collected funds now are focused toward local Wright County, Minnesota non-profits. The Marysville Township United Fund campaign is overseen by a Board of three persons who are totally volunteer so that all collected funds can be donated except for those funds needed in the next year's mail campaign. The Marysville United Fund's Mission Statement follows: Marysville United Fund seeks to help make available to all Wright County residents adequate food, shelter, crisis intervention resources and support for those individuals with unique needs. We (the Board) realize that "little by little - a little - becomes a lot!
