Mission Statement

The Superior Hiking Trail is a 310-mile footpath that largely follows the rocky ridgeline above Lake Superior on Minnesota's North Shore from Duluth to the Canadian border. The Superior Hiking Trail Association builds, maintains, and manages the trail with the help of hundreds of supporters and volunteers.

About This Cause

The Superior Hiking Trail Association is the non-profit organization that builds, maintains, manages, and promotes the 310-mile Superior Hiking Trail Association in northeastern Minnesota. SHTA has over 300 volunteers who help build and maintain the trail.
