Mission Statement
Our mission is to lift up the name of Jesus and work toward the transformation of children, youth and their families in urban Minneapolis communities.
About This Cause
We are an urban Christian ministry based in Minneapolis that focuses on the development of Black boys into men. Through long-term relationships with children and their families we mentor from boyhood through adulthood. We are there to mentor, counsel, support and encourage, advocating at schools, in court and on the street. We provide opportunities and activities like camps and retreats, public school groups, basketball teams, field trips and recreational activities. For more than 25 years, we have built long term relationships walking alongside Black boys as they grow up, offering encouragement and support to families and building community. We know "it takes God to be a Black man" and we help our boys develop strong identities so they may thrive in a world not hospitable to them.
