About This Cause
Beacon is an interfaith collaborative of congregations committed to ending homelessness through housing, the Families Moving Forward shelter program, and public advocacy. Plymouth Congregational Church was the founding congregation of Beacon (formerly known as Plymouth Church Neighborhood Association). Lydia Apartments was its first supportive housing development, which opened in 2003. Today Beacon is: 70 congregations and counting, committed to ending homelessness in the Twin Cities Board, staff and volunteers passionate about the power of home 775 residents moving forward with our lives, no longer worried about finding home 75 families each year finding shelter and support for housing stability through Families Moving Forward Will you join us?
