The Citizens Foundation, USA supports the building of civil society in Pakistan by providing quality education to underprivileged children, promoting gender equality and advocating for reform of public education.
About This Cause
The Citizens Foundation, USA (TCF-USA) is a U.S. based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, nonprofit organization (Federal Tax ID #41-2046295) that supports the education of underprivileged children in Pakistan. It has an active network of over 42 chapters in states across the United States. TCF was started in 1995 by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to bring about social change through education. In 27 years, it has built and operates 1,833 purpose-built schools providing quality education to 280,000 children, with an all-female faculty of 13,000 teachers. TCF-USA donors have built and supported over 249 of these elementary & secondary schools with an enrollment of 65,000+ boys and girls. Among other activities, TCF-USA supports specific programs, initiatives and projects of The Citizens Foundation (TCF) in Pakistan, one of the leading organizations in the field of education in that country. TCF-USA’s Board of Directors exercises full discretion and control over the use of all donations and in the making of grants to support specific projects in Pakistan. Contributions to TCF-USA are tax-deductible in the U.S. as charitable contributions to the fullest extent permitted by law.
