Mission Statement
The Restoration Center, Inc. provides culturally relevant services to address the spiritual, psychological, biological, and sociological needs of persons who have historically been denied access to quality services; Serves as a training facility for persons pursuing a degree or professional license in psychology, social work or counseling; and partners with local, state, and federal agencies to provide opportunities for researchers and practitioners to learn more about the spiritual, psychological, and physical well-being of African Americans.
About This Cause
The purpose of counseling at Restoration Center, Inc. is to help individuals understand the many challenges they are faced with on a daily basis. The Restoration Center believes that individual concerns must be addressed from a holistic perspective. Therefore, it is our goal to empower individuals to maintain a healthy spiritual, psychological, emotional and physical lifestyle. We also seek to provide our clients with a referral for additional services when deemed appropriate. The Restoration Center provides counseling to persons of various cultural and spiritual backgrounds. It is our practice to sit with the person, listen to his/her concerns, reference Biblical passages when appropriate, and walk with the person as they move through a challenging time. Restoration Center, Inc. provides professional counseling services by licensed mental health professionals, graduate level interns and doctoral associates supervised by a licensed mental health professional. Psychological testing, workshops and training are also available.
