About This Cause
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to provide young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oat and Law. The BSA provides programming for young people that builds character, trains them in responsibilities of citizenship, and develops personal fitness. Since 1952 the Hawkeye Area Council has helped develop future leaders by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. Scouting believes that youth development is the key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society, and all of the programs are designed with this in mind.
