About This Cause
The Marion County Iowa United Way is an organization made up of volunteers who work to support a broad range of agencies and human services in the Marion County area. Volunteers serve on the United Way Board of Directors. They plan for the future needs of Marion County. They allocate the money raised through a systematic review process. They recruit volunteers and provide information and referral services. Volunteers and payroll deduction programs at the work-place provide for a very efficient United Way in our county. Less than 10% of all monies raised in Marion County are used for administrative costs. This is one of the lowest levels for any charity.
