Mission Statement
Chrysalis invests in the safety, security, education, and economic empowerment of girls and women in Greater Des Moines. We do this in partnership with agencies and services vital to girls' and women's success through grants, community education, and donor support.
About This Cause
Established in 1989, the Chrysalis Foundation works to ensure that girls and women in Greater Des Moines have the resources, support, and opportunities they need to be successful and independent. As a public charity, Chrysalis operating expenses are funded by a permanent endowment, allowing 100% of community support to be returned to community agencies and organizations serving the needs and concerns of girls and women. Chrysalis is a member of the Women’s Funding Network, an international association of over 130 women’s funds across the globe.
