About This Cause
The IBA IDEA Project will: 1. Advance creative thinking to create a culture of inclusion, diversity, equity and awareness among teachers and students through class collaboration. 2. Enhance class collaboration through: Deeper understanding of the literature being performed; set obtainable goals and positive outcomes through music performance; and build connections / partnerships between students, teachers, and community. 3. Create avenues for the band program to reach out into the community to share how and why the importance of inclusion, diversity, equity and awareness are needed to increase a sense of belonging, caring, empathy and compassion within the community through musical performance.
