The corporation is organized to establish and operate for the benefit of the whole public facilities, structures and all other related facilities to promote the general health and well being of the public.
About This Cause
Fifty years ago, Bryant community members saw a need for elderly care in our small town of 500 in rural South Dakota and so worked to establish a long-term care facility. We made the difficult decision to close the facility 2 years ago due to low census, Medicaid payments being lower than costs and difficulty hiring needed staff. Since the founders started the organization to meet a community need of care for the elderly, we naturally turned our vision to what the needs were in the community currently. The lack of a community gathering place was immediately evident. As a result we partnered with the City of Bryant as well as the community as a whole to plan a facility community space and badly needed city offices as well. This facility will serve the area well and long into the future.
