Mission Statement

The South Loop Dog PAC supports the four dog parks that are located in the South Loop of Chicago and advocates for dog-friendly initiatives in the community.

About This Cause

Vision: The South Loop Dog PAC envisions a clean, safe, and healthy neighborhood for all dogs and humans who live and play in the South Loop. Mission: The South Loop Dog PAC advocates for and supports responsible dog-ownership in Chicago’s South Loop. We provide and maintain safe off-leash areas for dogs and humans to socialize in area parks, and we work to encourage healthy and mutually beneficial dog-human relationships in the community. We are a membership-supported organization that relies on donations and volunteer support to accomplish our mission. The participation of dog park users is critical in maintaining our spaces. On a weekly basis we supply dog waste bags for the bag dispensers we have installed at each of the parks. On a yearly basis we organize dog park cleanups and help supply needed materials. We serve as a liaison with the Chicago Park District supervisors to raise maintenance and repair issues. We also maintain lines of communications with local Chicago Alderman and organizations that support the Chicago Parks (e.g. the Grant Park Advisory Council and the Fred Anderson Park Advisory Council) in order to support dog friendly initiatives in the community.
