About This Cause
Located in the heart of the Central Valley, Fresno Chaffee Zoo reaches a multitude of various households each year. Annual attendance continues to climb to new heights as the zoo becomes a bigger, better zoo than it has ever been before. Fresno Chaffee zoo strives to take excellent care of each animal in its growing collection. As a non-profit organization, the zoo also reaches out to local families to provide education about the environment to lower-income children. Each year the zoo donates a sum of money toward conservation programs in different countries as a way to "give back" a part of what has been earned. By donating to the zoo, extra funds can go toward purchasing new enrichment items for the animals, or they can be directed toward specific exhibits, such as the new African Adventure. The money can also be received as a general donation, an education donation, or go toward conservation, just to name a few options!
