Mission Statement
For the past 63 years, we have served the St. Louis region with the highest-quality, non-commercial television programs available, as well as through our engagement and partnership efforts in the community. Since 1954, we have been committed to offering all citizens in our region the opportunity to explore new ideas and new worlds. We broadcast on KETC/Channel 9 and four digital channels – ninePBS, nine PBS Kids, nine World, and nineCreate – and produce a multitude of local content on-air and online. Every month, approximately 2 million people – or 70 percent of our region’s residents – watch Nine across 100 counties in Missouri and Illinois. Nine is consistently one of the top five most-watched public television stations among 355 in the country and regularly ranks as the #1 PBS station in per capita viewership.
