Mission Statement
The Food Bank is a regional disaster and hunger relief network that acquires and distributes millions of pounds of food annually to partner agencies across a 32-county area.
About This Cause
The Food Bank serves more than 100,000 people monthly at more than 45 plus partner agencies such as pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters throughout our service area of 32 counties. As a member of Feeding America, a gift of $1 helps The Food Bank provide at least four meals or $9 worth of groceries. Additionally, The Food Bank distributes over 7,500 Buddy Packs every Friday during the school week to children who rely on subsidized meals at school. The cost of a Buddy Pack for a child is $270 for the entire school year.
