Mission Statement
To impact the lives of young people in the Greater Kansas City area by providing learning opportunities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.
About This Cause
The First Tee of Greater Kansas City (TFTGKC) is a youth development organization teaching young people positive values such as honesty, integrity, sportsmanship and confidence while using the game of golf as a tool. The First Tee of Greater Kansas City lessons are for youth 7-17 and are taught at 16 area golf courses and through in-school programs. Participants pay less than 20% of the real costs of the program. We never turn away a child in financial need. Over 300 participants received full scholarships into the program in 2018.
