Mission:Lift For Life Academy is a challenging learning community where all students are empowered to maximize their full potential as students and citizens. Lift For Life Academy, founded in 2000, is an independent charter school serving 580 St. Louis city students in grades 6-12.
About This Cause
Lift For Life Academy, founded in 2000, is St. Louis' first charter school, serving 585 high-risk students in grades 6-12 who live in the city of St. Louis. Lift For Life Academy is a Title 1 school which means most students live in households earning near or below the poverty level. We are a free public school, with a private school approach to education. Lift For Life Academy maintains a 93+% graduation rate. In 2017, 66 of 67 seniors graduated. The Academy operates on an 11-month school year. Class sizes are small, with a 1:14 teacher-student ratio. 95% of our teachers are "highly qualified", as defined by the state of Missouri.
