Mission Statement
Friends of Kids with Cancer is devoted to enriching the daily lives of children undergoing treatment for, and survivors of, cancer and blood-related diseases. Our mission is to be an advocate for these special kids and provide them and their families with the educational, emotional, and recreational support needed as a result of the long hours of chemotherapy, illness and isolation.
About This Cause
With nearly 350 new patients diagnosed every year, Friends of Kids with Cancer is here to ease the day-to-day burdens that arise during the family's fight against pediatric cancer. A positive mental outlook can be just as important as medicine. Our Educational, Emotional, and Recreational programming builds self-esteem and give moments of joy and laughter to the entire family. Programs include: tutoring, scholarships, art & play therapies, support groups, chemo & radiation gifts, tickets to sports & entertainment events, private family parties, and much much more!
