Mission Statement
Covenant House Missouri openly accepts youth 16-21 years old who are homeless or disconnected. Our programs combine four crucial pieces to independence: mental health, residential, education and career development, and community outreach services. Through this individualized, holistic approach, we empower youth to design their own paths to independence.
About This Cause
Covenant House Missouri (CHMO) serves suffering children of the street and works to protect and safeguard all children with absolute respect and unconditional love. We seek to provide opportunities for youth who are experiencing homelessness to pursue a life of independence. Young people come to CHMO in crisis. We immediately provide for their basic human needs - food, clothing, a shower and medical attention. We provide safety, protecting our youth from violence and degradation. We show our young people that caring relationships are based on trust, respect, and honesty. We provide stucture and reasonable expectations so our youth can focus on their futures. We help young people make positive choices and encourage them to believe in themselves.
