Mission Statement
Village Home, founded in 2002, is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit learning community with its main campus in Beaverton, Oregon and additional campuses in NE Portland and Salem. Village Home provides a dynamic, choice-based learning community creatively integrating family, education and real life to empower learners of all ages. Village Home learners customize their learning experience by selecting courses in a choice-based, grade-free, test-free educational marketplace. At Village Home, parents are acknowledged as the primary educators of their children. Families are encouraged to see their children as the authors of their own learning plan. We believe that intrinsically motivated learners maintain their innate drive to learn by self-directing their own learning. Village Home values the spirit of lifelong learners and our instructors provide passionate and focused small group instruction.
