To empower and support abused and neglected children in the care of Child Protective Services.
About This Cause
Partnerships for Children's mission is to cultivate resources and partnerships that directly benefit abused and neglected children in our community through support to Child Protective Services (CPS) caseworkers. We do this through 4 core programs. The Rainbow Room is an emergency resource center located within the CPS offices to provide a variety of items for children in crisis; including necessities such as, clothing, diapers, baby formula, car seats and beds, all free of charge because of donors just like you. Holiday Wishes, enables children in the care of CPS to experience the joy and giving of the season by matching their gift wishes with a community donor. Last year we provided gifts to more than 5,015 children in Central Texas! The YES Mentor Program is aimed at improving youths’ self-esteem and enhancing their ability to make responsible decisions through mentoring, training and financial support. And our newest program, The Heart Gallery of Central Texas, is a traveling portrait exhibit and community education/outreach initiative that features children in the foster care system who are waiting for adoption.
