About This Cause
Our work focuses on empowering the public and healthcare communities to recognize ovarian cancer's early warning signs and symptoms so every woman diagnosed will benefit from early detection. When ovarian cancer is diagnosed early, 9 out of 10 women will survive. Over 90% of women with ovarian cancer report symptoms, even at the earliest stage. Tragically, only 15% of women with ovarian cancer are diagnosed early. Knowing the risk factors and the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer can help women reduce their risk and improve their chances for survival. We empower women to follow the screening recommendations for breast cancer. Knowing the risk factors and following the recommended screening strategies for their specific risk level can help women reduce their risk and improve their chances for survival.
