Mission Statement
KEY COALITION, INC. Goals and Mission Statement The mission of Key Coalition is to work for the overall rehabilitation and beautification of the community; improve and expand businesses serving the area, and achieve excellence in the education and recreational facilities serving the area. By working with the city and others, the organization will encourage commercial services, provide security within the community and develop a livable and wholesome environment.
About This Cause
The Key Coalition boundaries are E 27th Street on the North, E 35th Street on the South, Prospect Avenue on the East and Woodland on the West. The area boast many historic homes, beautiful boulevards and unique urban characteristics. Hit hard by the housing crisis, it is poised for resurgence. In support and in partnership with the City of Kansas City, Key Coalition is taking a 4 pronged approach to the revitalization of the community. • People First – Focus on human investments, creating residents that are productive, healthy and caring. • Create Jobs – Increase employment opportunities within the Heart of the City and provide job skills. • Promote Sustainability – Use sustainable practices to guide policy recommendations and development decisions. • Repopulation – Increase population and focus on rebuilding desirable urban neighborhoods. By providing quick access to programs available for financial education, legal assistance and much more, we will further the revitalization goals.
