Mission Statement
The Fargo Moorhead Area Youth Symphonies provides a rigorous orchestral experience which challenges dedicated youth to reach their full potential musically and personally and emerge as dynamic members of the community.
About This Cause
The Fargo Moorhead Area Youth Symphonies has three orchestras: the Symphony Orchestra for grades 8-12, Attacca Strings for grades 9-12, and the Concert Strings for grades 6-8. Each orchestra rehearses weekly during the school term and provides the students with opportunities to study with professional musicians, play in smaller ensembles, perform in 3-4 full concerts each season, perform in small recitals, perform in outreach, and activities for underserved communities. In addition, the Symphony Orchestra rehearses with the Fargo Moorhead Symphony Orchestra for two Side-By-Side rehearsals and performances.
