About This Cause
A not-for-profit and full-service community hospital, Sibley has a distinguished history of serving the community since its founding in 1890. Our 2010 affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine has positioned us to be a leading healthcare provider in the Washington, D.C. region, allowing Sibley to maintain its commitment to the local community while gaining access to the innovative research and world-class clinical programs of a prominent academic institution. Opened in September 2016, Sibley’s expanded campus—the New Sibley—offers 475,000-square-feet of new clinical space including 200 all-private rooms, a state-of-the-art Emergency Department, a nationally recognized orthopaedic program, expanded women’s and infants’ services for Washington, D.C.’s busiest maternity program, and the new Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. For more than 125 years, Sibley has offered new procedures, invested in leading-edge technologies, and provided exceptional facilities. Going forward we will continue to explore and develop new approaches to providing care, including using multidisciplinary care teams, offering integrative medicine services.
