About This Cause
Adopt a Charger is a non profit organization that solicits sponsorship to install and maintain EV chargers at National Parks, State Parks, museums, and universities. Our business model is similar to PBS, where we find sponsors to pay for equipment and installation and encourage user support to pay for electrical usage. Payment recovery schemes currently cost more than the expense of the electricity. Drivers end up paying $2.00 for $0.15 - $0.25 of juice. Network connected EV chargers are also 3 times more expensive. We promote low cost projects so we can install more EV chargers. Thanks so much for your support.
