Mission Statement
Cole Camp needs a new Senior Center. Cole Camp also needs a Community Center. There are other spaces for gatherings of from 50-150, but there is no public space for larger wedding receptions or reunions or other gatherings.
About This Cause
The proposed Community Center will provide space for a new senior center, a much needed facility. The current Center is not up to code and is inadequate for the growing senior populations. The Senior Center portion of the building will include a senior meal program 5 days per week; home delivered meal program 7 days per week; wellness programs offered such as EnhanceFitness 2x per week; Arm Chair Exercise 3x per week; health screenings- Blood pressure weekly; computer classes; and recreation. The Community Center will house a post disaster emergency shelter and will be utilized as a rental/banquet facility in the area. Indoor and outdoor walking tracks are planned to be part of the Center.
