Mission Statement

All Five is committed to empowering all families to choose high quality early education for their children, regardless of their socioeconomic background.

About This Cause

Ninety percent of our brains are developed in the first five years of life. These are the most important years for learning the skills and approaches that will shape lives for years to come. We use five pillars, to mirror these first five years, as the foundation for our program: 1. We focusing on children starting at birth. The first few years are the most critical developmental years, laying the groundwork for social-emotional, cognitive, linguistic and physical growth. 2. We are funded through a public-private partnership. All Five is dedicated to a blended funding stream, research and development, and sharing practices to catalyze change on a larger scale. 3. Socioeconomic diversity. The early education community is largely separated by socioeconomic status and unequal in quality. All Five brings border communities together and provides an environment that respects diversity and creates fair and inclusive learning communities. 4. Valuing teachers. We strive to pay a living wage starting at an average of $40,000 for a teacher, including health benefits and a stipend for professional development. 5. Parent involvement. We want our parents to be advocates for their child at school. All Five families volunteer one hour per week at school and attend quarterly family and community meetings. Tracking Progress All Five uses readiness assessments, parent surveys and third party assessments to ensure our program is supporting families and preparing students for success in Kindergarten and beyond. Teachers administer the DRDP (Desired Results Developmental Profile) for every child, and ask families to complete the Ages and Stages Questionnaires as well. We are continually improving our program and services to fit our families’ needs. We also listen carefully to the professional recommendations of our teachers for improvement in our practice. All Five is pursuing a partnership with the Stanford’s Gardener Center to create a longitudinal study of school outcomes and show long-term academic and social benefits of participating in the All Five program.
