Mission Statement
Our strategic goal is for 1,000,000 vulnerable people to achieve more dignity, food security, improved health, improved livelihoods and capacity to make their own decisions as a result of our work by 2020. We believe in the power of knowledge to change lives. Our approach is based on 3 pillars--Cutting Edge Innovation to create solutions; Collaboration with local partners to achieve Sustainability and Expertise to drive change. We achieve this by focusing on Climate Smart Agriculture and Beekeeping; Improving Health for mothers and babies and focusing on creating opportunities for Young People through Skills and Sports. About This Cause
TAG International Development: (registered as a 501-©-3, international non for profit organization under THE TAG FOUNDATION FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT Tax ID 45-2453081) supports local partners through an expertise based approach towards achievement of their development goals. In accordance with local assets and needs, TAG provides local partners (local authorities, NGOs, community-based groups, etc.) with experts and expertise that have been acquired and adapted to local context from Israel, that stimulate innovative and sustainable solutions to alleviate poverty and provide dignity to at risk communities in selected areas of operation (East Africa and South East Asia. Our expertise is in 4 key impact areas: - Climate Smart Agriculture and Water Management Solutions (including rural water; education; and irrigation - Livelihoods Regeneration through Beekeeping - Reduction of Maternal Mortality Rates through community health & ICT - Empowerment of Young People through Skills and Sports In addition, Tag undertakes capacity-building in general aspects of organizational development of local civil society organizations, and, in coordination with its local partner/s, TAG undertakes a lead in overall project cycle management, monitoring and evaluation to deliver outstanding results.
