Mission Statement

Feeding Nations Through Education (FNTE) works to relieve famine, poverty and raise literacy by equipping African villagers with agricultural tools, clean water, microloans, training and education so that they can be self-sufficient. FNTE is about helping people help themselves through a pay-it-forward strategy.

About This Cause

FNTE programs and services are grouped in four (4) programs with a pay-it-forward strategy. 1. Care Packages FNTE provides vaccinated bulls, plows, and training to farmers in the villages, which enable them to increase their crops yield up to 3 times more. They sell their surplus crops for cash to fund their children’s education. After 5 years, each recipient pays the care package forward to another family. As the cycle continues, more and more families are taken out of extreme poverty. Visit us at www.feedingnations.org for more details. 2. Clean Water Wells Feeding Nations drills clean water wells in rural villages that do not have access to clean water, thereby providing water to impoverished populations. Each well serves over 5,000 people. Our well design includes animal drinking troughs and concrete walls that protect the well from dust and debris. As a result, infant mortality is decreasing to 50% in the villages we implemented a well. 3. Education - Middle and High Schools We are currently building a middle school and high school in Burkina Faso to give poor children access to quality education. The rural areas may have a primary school but Middle School and High School are out of reach for the poor. Our strategy is to be the bridge elementary school and college education for the less fortunate children. The middle school is complete and now functional. We are working on building the high school and the dorms for students who will come from afar. 4. Microloan for Women We empower women by granting them a $100 microloan envelope that enables them to develop their own hand-crafted business. Some have purchased a sewing machine to start a tailoring business or a bicycle to start selling produce and spices at local markets. Others start soap making businesses. After a year they pay the initial amount to another woman through our pay-it-forward strategy. As a direct result of FNTE programs, over 1,300 children are now schooled, over 145,000 people now have access to clean water every day, over 200,000 people no longer starve and over 2,600 women are small business owners. The socio-economic impact is on the rise in the villages we serve.
