About This Cause
Kendo (剣道 kendo), or "Way of The Sword", is a Japanese martial art based on traditional swordsmanship (kenjutsu) using protective armor and bamboo swords (shinai). It is physically and mentally challenging and can take a lifetime to master. Though it is practiced in a sport-like manner, Kendo adheres to strong martial arts values, with an emphasis on etiquette and respect.
