Mission Statement
The MARSOC Foundation D/B/A Marine Raider Foundation provides benevolent support to Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) Marines, Sailors and their families, and World War II Marine Raiders, focusing on needs not met by other organizations. The four pronged mission includes Tragedy Assistance and Survivor Support, Family Resiliency, Raider Support, and Raider Legacy Preservation. The Foundation provides support to wounded/ill/injured MARSOC personnel, MARSOC families dealing with health and welfare challenges, fund memorial and commemorative services and structures honoring MARSOC fallen Marines and Sailors, and fund reintegration, transition and resiliency of the Marine and Sailor, as well as their families.
About This Cause
The MARSOC Foundation D/B/A Marine Raider Foundation was established to provide benevolent support to active duty and medically retired MARSOC personnel and their families as well as to the families of Marines and Sailors who have lost their lives in service to our Nation. The Foundation aims to meet needs unmet by the government with an emphasis on building personal and family resiliency and supporting the full reintegration of MARSOC Marines and Sailors following wounds, injuries and extended deployments. Since May of 2012, the Foundation has provided over $7.95 million in assistance to Marine Raiders and their families. The primary services of the MARSOC Foundation include: Assisting MARSOC personnel who are injured or wounded in combat, contingency operations, or training with special needs: *Advanced rehabilitation programs and equipment *Operational health & performance programs and equipment *Advanced vocational training Assisting the families of MARSOC personnel with health and welfare challenges: *Funding for medical treatments not provided by the government *Advocacy and services for children enrolled in the Exceptional Family Member Program *Funding for childcare and emergency services when the spouse of a deployed service member is unable to care for the children Support memorials and services that commemorate fallen MARSOC personnel: *Funeral services and commemorations not covered by the Department of Defense (DOD) *Travel costs to funeral services and commemorations not covered by the DOD *Construction and upkeep of memorials Support reintegration and transition assistance of MARSOC personnel: *Funding for spouse and children participation in reintegration activities for the service member returning from combat and contingency operations *Veterans Affairs disability claim support *Mentor programs with business leadership and career transition activities
