Mission Statement
Our mission is to embody the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) by serving humanity with compassion, generosity, and a commitment to help. We promote universal Islamic values of peace, harmony and aim to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need through Zakat and Sadaqah (Charity). We believe that volunteerism is central to our duty as Muslims, and we build bridges across diverse communities to promote mutual respect, understanding, and a shared commitment to a better world for all.
About This Cause
American Muslims For Hunger Relief (AMFHR): A Noble Cause for Worthy Needs AMFHR is committed to serving through noble causes in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Connecticut. Our initiatives include Soup Kitchens, Family Food Distribution, Ramadan Ration, Halal Turkey Drive during Thanksgiving, Qurbani Meat Drive during EID-Ul-Adha, Free Health Clinic, and a Hunger Hotline for urgent food requests. We are grateful for the donations from our esteemed donors, who can be assured that every penny is well spent on one of the causes listed above for the community in need. Since 2011, AMFHR has made a significant impact on the community. We have served approximately: 767,620 hot meals as part of the "Soup Kitchen" event 9,031 family food baskets during the "Family Food Distribution" drive 8,190 food baskets as part of the "COVID Relief" program 6,670 lbs of Qurbani Meat during the Muslim Festival of Eid-ul-Adha 3,730 food baskets during the holy month of Ramadan 2,020 Halal Turkeys during the Thanksgiving holiday We remain committed to serving those in need and giving back to our communities. However, our ultimate objective is to achieve the following long-term goals: (1) Construct a dedicated facility to organize and host the aforementioned events. (2) Establish a food bank as a permanent and consistent food distribution center. (3) Cultivate culinary skills that can produce a workforce for employment opportunities, empowering individuals and families to break free of the cycle of poverty by becoming self-sufficient. (4) Extend our reach to other state/cities each calendar year and thus expand our efforts and increate our impact (5) Home grown organic food inourownfarms.
