Mission Statement
Our mission is to preserve, restore, renew, and maintain Philadelphia’s historic Gloria Dei (Old Swedes’) Church buildings and grounds.
About This Cause
In 2013, the Historic Gloria Dei Preservation Corporation (HGDPC) was formed as an independent non-profit charity to raise funds for the preservation of all of the historic buildings on the Gloria Dei campus as well as its graveyard. In 2019, HGDPC applied for and received, a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Keystone Grant, and a Queen Village Neighbors Association Grant, to undertake extensive repairs and painting of the interior and exterior of the church and the exterior of the church hall. This restoration project has addressed repairs needed to the wood trim throughout both buildings.
