Mission Statement
We are a 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to helping dogs in Mahoning and Trumbull county and the surrounding areas. OUR MISSION: It started with one dog. That first dog that left the first paw prints on our hearts. We do this in honor of all the dogs we have ever loved. They live on though an ongoing legacy of love.
About This Cause
Legacy Dog Rescue has two main purposes. First is rescue. We take dogs from many places. We place them in foster homes then find them loving forever homes. The second purpose is what we call community service. Our spay/neuter program is very close to our hearts. We believe by focusing on spaying and neutering we are helping reduce the dogs that could be sent to the pound. We eliminate the problem... before it happens. We also will assist financially to both dog owners and other rescues when appropriate. We also have a food assistance program to help dog owners that are struggling to feed their pets due to economic hardship.
