Mission Statement
We believe in free-roaming cats' right to life. Everything we do is to protect and care for free-roaming cats by practicing trap-neuter-return.
About This Cause
The Meow Mission is a compassionate group that believes all cats deserve the right to life, regardless if feral, semi-social, or simply stray. Cats can and have lived outdoors successfully for hundreds of years. 80% of kittens born come from free-roaming cats. Well meaning, compassionate individuals feed these cats. Unfortunately, a significant amount of the families are in low-income areas and are unable to provide spay/neuter for their colonies. That’s where we come in. We work with these families by educating them about TNR and helping them pay for the spay/neuter surgeries. We can loan traps and assist with trapping and transport. Without us, the breeding cycle continues, shelters will continue to fill to capacity, and healthy cats and kittens unnecessarily die.
