About This Cause
Team Gleason, established by former NFL player Steve Gleason in 2011, is committed to empowering individuals with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) to lead purposeful lives. Despite facing his own ALS diagnosis, Steve exemplified resilience and determination, founding Team Gleason to enhance the lives of those impacted by this disease. At Team Gleason, we aspire to create a world where individuals living with ALS have the resources and opportunities to thrive, fostering productivity, purpose, and meaning in their lives. Through the innovation and implementation of cutting-edge technologies, essential equipment, and care services, we strive to uplift the ALS community, nurturing a sense of dignity and purpose in every individual we serve. Since its inception, Team Gleason has emerged as a leading non-profit provider of equipment and technology for individuals with ALS nationwide. Our mission is clear: to directly support the ALS community by ensuring access to the tools and resources necessary for navigating life with ALS. Embodying our rallying cry, "No White Flags," Team Gleason stands as a beacon of unwavering determination in the face of ALS. "Until there is a cure, there is Team Gleason."
