Mission Statement
Funds raised by The Children’s Health Guild help their beneficiary organizations provide the full circle of medical care for their patients including emergency care, on-going treatment, transitional and respite care, and palliative care that helps children and their families live life to its fullest during a child’s final days.
About This Cause
The Children’s Health Guild is made up of approximately fifty dynamic East Bay Area women who dedicate their time and talent to raise funds on behalf of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and The George Mark Children’s House (GMCH). Funds raised by The Children’s Health Guild help their beneficiary organizations provide the full circle of medical care for their patients including emergency care, on-going treatment, transitional and respite care, and palliative care that helps children and their families live life to its fullest during a child’s final days. Originally founded as St. Luke’s Junior Auxiliary based in San Francisco, our group has raised funds for over 40 years to support low-income women and children’s medical care. As our membership has migrated to the East Bay in recent years, we chose to re-launch our organization in 2012 as the Children’s Health Guild and are now an independent 501(c)(3), non-profit organization that provides financial support to both CHO and GMCH.
