About This Cause
The MELODIC CARING PROJECT (MCP) is a registered 501(c)3 Non-Profit founded in 2010 to support to kids and families battling illness and isolation around the world. MCP provides ongoing mental, emotional and spiritual health support to patients and others battling illness. We accomplish this by connecting patients with musicians, performers, celebrities, and our team of Music Therapists and Rockologists offering a diverse range of programs including: • 1-on-1 Music Therapy Sessions -Personalized, therapeutic and interactive 1:1 music therapy sessions (virtual and in-person). • Group Music + Art Therapy Sessions - Weekly private group sessions designed to offer consistent support by allowing patients to participate in therapeutic music and art sessions while connecting and interacting virtually with other rockSTARS. • rockSTAR Song Requests - Every patient who signs up receives a personalized song and message of encouragement welcoming them to our MCP Family. Patients can submit song requests as desired as a part of our continued care. • Livestream Performances - We partner with artists to stream their regularly scheduled concerts and performances LIVE directly to patients in hospitals and homes around the world. During the show, artists send shout-outs and song dedications to patients, making them the rockSTARS and encouraging their fans to cheer along with them. MCP programs have grown by 551% over the past 3 years and embrace the medically proven healing properties of music to alleviate pain, reduce anxiety and aid in the overall wellness and wellbeing of the patient. Unlike other complimentary and alternative medicine (CAM) programs, the MELODIC CARING PROJECT’S model meets a real and pressing need in the market with its innovative approach offering ease, accessibility and comfort to those suffering from serious illness or injury, especially those quarantined and/or suffering from immunodeficiency. Our unique and personalized programs offer ongoing support to patients (rockSTARS) by connecting our artist partners & team of music therapists and Rockologists with those in need around the world. Our programs are FREE to all patients and families through the generosity of individual donors, foundations, corporate giving and sponsorships. We provide support for all-ages including pediatrics, adult, geriatric and hospice. We provide ongoing, continued care by giving all patients who sign up a VIP ALL-ACCESS PASS to participate in as many live-streamed concerts and programs as they want or need. At MCP we provide support to the whole family including siblings and parents.
