Mission Statement
Wonder Theatre is devoted to creating opportunities for its surrounding community by providing quality, entertaining, educational, and affordable programming for all ages. Its mission is to assist in sustaining the tradition of theatre while contributing to the lives of local artists and to enrich the community by encouraging young adults to participate in the arts.
About This Cause
Since opening its doors in 2012, the Wonder Theatre has staged 6 full scale, main stage musical productions a season. Additionally, the Woodlawn Academy for the Performing Arts offers a wide variety of programs to inspire and develop youth including: Junior Productions, Leg Up Semester Class Series, Summer Camps, a Performance Outreach Program, a Buddy Mentoring Program, a Premier Touring Group Program, and an Adult Dance Class Series. The Woodlawn Theatre and ists academy continue to contribute to the spirited culture of San Antonio with its range of productions and programs. From hearwarming youth productions to magical main stage performances, the Woodlawn Theatre like the city it calls home continues to dazzle and delight locals and visitors year round.
