Mission Statement
Orange mound raiders youth sports, founded in 2009, to service and mentor youth ages 5 to 18. Through recreational sports, we minister and mentor our inner city children, providing them with many life skills to become productive citizens. We also provide a healthy and positive atmosphere, emphasizing on exercise, mental and physical uprising, gang intervention and prevention, and positive reinforcement activities.
About This Cause
Orange mound raiders youth sports is a nationally recognized sports and Mentoring Program, serving children who otherwise, would be surrounded by gang violence and drug activity. Since 2009, our organization, which has been built by a great group of non paid volunteers, has grown from 48 children and 1 sport, to over 1100 children, a football organization and 10 team football league. As well as, basketball, and baseball. With the growth of not only our organization, but also our city's crime rate, our organization is only looking to do more in doing our share to revamp the mentality of our young men and women in our surrounding areas. We several national championships in football , league championships in football, basketball, and baseball. Several of our volunteers are gang intervention and prevention specialist, and provide many services for children within our program.
