Mission Statement
Right To Be Free's mission is to fund the rescue and rehabilitation of enslaved children in Africa and to broaden public awareness of human trafficking (modern day slavery). The funds we raise directly support the work of our field partner in Ghana, also called Right To Be Free, which is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration of victims of human trafficking. Our operating costs and public awareness programs are funded internally so 100% of every donation directly supports victims of child trafficking.
About This Cause
Right To Be Free is a registered 501(c)3 charity. We work alongside our field partner, Right To Be Free, a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Ghana, to support the rescue and rehabilitation of trafficked children doing hazardous work (e.g. fishing and gold mining). These children, some as young as four years old (fishing trade), work 14 hour days, 7 days a week. No funds are ever paid to the masters to release the children.
