Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking (BEST) educates employers to prevent human trafficking and creates pathways to employment for survivors.
About This Cause
The mission of BEST is to educate employers to prevent human trafficking and create pathways to employment for survivors. Because the majority of these crimes involve businesses, business people are integral to preventing this crime. BEST provides training and resources for business and community leaders to increase the identification of trafficking victims and to take action to deter traffickers and buyers from exploiting victims. BEST is passionately dedicated to preventing human trafficking by changing the attitudes, perceptions, and behaviors that fuel the exploitation of vulnerable children, women, and men in our communities. The overall goal of BEST is to prevent human trafficking. Today, we are preventing human trafficking across the US and around the globe because we believe that every person has the right to be free from commercial sexual exploitation and forced labor. Employees of public and private organizations are often the first line of defense for victims. Yet often employees unknowingly overlook exploitation or lack tools to respond. BEST programs spark long-term social change through Awareness, Consulting, Training, and providing Safe Jobs.
